How much does teeth whitening cost?
Teeth whitening costs from $2,500 Mexican pesos (MXN) at DentCare in Ciudad Camargo, Chihuahua. It is done in the clinic with professional gel and gum protection. A dental cleaning is needed first (from $650 MXN), because gel applied over tartar does not work evenly.

All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN), not US dollars, and are reference prices: the exact cost for your case is given to you in writing at the assessment, before any treatment starts.
What changes the price
How many sessions your shade needs
Some teeth lighten in one session; darker shades or tetracycline staining need more, and that shows in the cost.
Whether you need a cleaning first
The cleaning is required and quoted separately, from $650 MXN. Without it the result comes out patchy.
Whether you have fillings or crowns in front
Fillings and crowns do not change colour with the gel. If they are visible, they may need replacing afterwards so the colour matches.
What whitening includes
- Assessment of your shade and the state of your teeth
- Protection of gums and lips
- Application of professional whitening gel
- Diet and care instructions for the following days
- A review of the result
Before whitening
Whitening is cosmetic, so the teeth have to be healthy first: decay, inflamed gums or a sensitive tooth are treated before. Whitening over an untreated problem does not fix it and hurts more, which is why we always start with the assessment.
Treatment is done by C.D. Jessica Vázquez, endodontics specialist, professional license 10837412. She speaks Spanish and English.

Frequently asked questions
How long does the result last?
Usually one to two years, depending on coffee, tea, cola and smoking. It can be topped up later without repeating the whole treatment.
Does it damage enamel?
No, not when done with professional gel and gum protection. Temporary sensitivity for a few days is common and settles on its own.
Do whitening pastes and strips work?
Only slightly: they lift surface stains but do not change the real shade of the tooth. The visible difference comes from in-clinic treatment.
Can it be done with braces on?
Not during treatment, because the gel cannot reach under the brackets and you would end up with patches. It is done once they come off.
