How much do braces cost?
The orthodontic assessment costs $400 Mexican pesos (MXN) and includes the full plan with the cost in writing before anything is placed. The treatment price depends on the type of braces, how much the teeth need to move and how many months it takes; braces are paid in stages, not all at once.

$400 MXN
All prices are in Mexican pesos (MXN), not US dollars, and are reference prices: the exact cost for your case is given to you in writing at the assessment, before any treatment starts.
What sets the price of your braces
Type of braces
Metal braces are the most affordable option; ceramic ones cost more because the material is more discreet.
How much has to move
Mild crowding takes fewer months than a bite that needs every tooth repositioned.
Duration and number of adjustments
Every adjustment visit is part of the treatment, so more months means more control visits.
Anything that has to be treated first
Decay or tartar is treated before braces go on. That is quoted separately (cleaning from $650 MXN, fillings from $650 MXN).
What the treatment includes
- Assessment and diagnosis
- Treatment plan and cost in writing
- Fitting of the braces and archwire
- Adjustment visits throughout the treatment
- Retainer at the end to keep the result
Is it worth waiting?
Crowded teeth hold plaque where a brush cannot reach, so over the years they tend to bring decay and gum problems, and a misaligned bite wears down teeth and the jaw joint. Starting sooner does not make the treatment cheaper by itself, but it avoids the fillings, deep cleanings and crowns that pile up while you wait.
Treatment is done by C.D. Jessica Vázquez, endodontics specialist, professional license 10837412. She speaks Spanish and English.

Frequently asked questions
Can I pay for braces in instalments?
Yes. Orthodontics is paid in stages across the treatment. At the assessment we give you the full schedule.
How long do they take?
It depends on your case; most are measured in months, and at the assessment we give you a realistic estimate for yours.
Are there braces for adults?
Yes. There is no age limit as long as gums and bone are healthy, and many of our patients start as adults.
Do they hurt?
Fitting them does not hurt. Pressure in the first few days and after each adjustment is normal, and is handled with a standard painkiller and softer food.
I am travelling in — how often would I have to come?
Adjustment visits are a few weeks apart and can be scheduled around your trip if you come from Delicias, Jiménez, Saucillo, Parral, Chihuahua city or across the border.
